last night i went to a friend's house for some drinks. there were more people there that i didn't know than ones i was acquainted with. because i guess i am kind of shy i stuck around with the ones i knew. one was this fellow i know in passing but thought maybe i should try and get to know better. i believe they call it 'networking'.
we were standing there talking and this dishevelled girl stumbles over to us. i watched awkwardly while she flirted with this dude and he blushed uncomfortably. i mean, she was radiating this whole obvious love-unrequited vibe that made me think there was more than meets the eye going on.
do you know this chick? i asked him.
uh... no. was his confused reply.
elsewhere in the house loads of drunk women were (non-ironically) discussing vacuum-cleaners. the buzz was kind of weird all over.
