so i'm lying in bed and r.e.m. comes on the radio. shortly after i hear this periodic banging outside that seems like it's coming closer and closer. it sounds kinda like bombs or guns or bad natural phenomena. so i think, i guess the mayans were right then. but turns out it's just the neighbours, taking their wheelie bin down their stairs for collection tomorrow morning.
