i had a friend in intermediate school who had a computer with the internet. i can remember we all used to go to her house and log in to chathouse.com. we would get ask asl? all the time because... early internet, i guess. then we'd come up with some pervy things to say for cyber because that's naturally what a bunch of eleven year old girls should be doing.
we knew it was naughty but oh well.
her mum was a really tall, broad woman with a mountain of orange hair and a booming american accent. also, her sister was kind of really into lit. it was the soundtrack to our classroom forays.
an idyllic childhood, i know.
