my dude's parents wanted to bless the house and i said, okay sure. (we have butted heads about this in the past, i mean "oh lord" exclamations should be reserved for spilling tea and biscuits.) they were kind of surprised i guess, they explained to me, basically what we do is have a little prayer and ask god to drive out bad spirits and memories and to look after this home and its occupants ([unspoken] even though they are living in sin).
i said, oh right so you're cleansing the bad juju?
they looked very stern as they replied, we don't pray to juju.
